For people who have accomplished nothing in career and bad at interpersonal relationships, how to achieve the sense of control in lives? Once speaking on this question in class, I usually answer it with a tongue-in-cheek remark – to raise a dog and give it your leader's name then scold it to let off your depression.

Nowadays, more and more people keep pets in the society. But why do people spare no effort to take care of these little cats and dogs? Firstly, all men's life needs the sense of control, but life in modern society is not so easy, many people are not confident with their job and others.

However, "dogs are men's best friends", and pets will never betray you. Therefore, keeping pets is a phenomenon of deficiency in social relationships, and at the same time, a way to satisfy people's sense of control in life.

The second point is that keeping pets ia liking raising children.Howvever, you need not ot pay a lot to keep a pet, while the relative responsibility is much small. For children, we must not only have them, but also educate them, while for pets, there are multiple choices when deciding to keep them, and them do mean much educational responsibility. Since no matter raising a child or keeping a pet, both of them can satisfy the needs of showing our loving heart or the wish to communicate with outside world, why not do it?

Thirdly, different people have different ways of living and also they are happy for different things. Some people like to plant flowers and grass, some like to drink and playing mahjong, and some others, keeping cats and dogs.

These are diferrent ways to rich spare time, add joys to life, no good or bad, no high or low.

According to reports, Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in Chicago is putting a clump of what it says is Elvis Presley's hair up for auction - along with over 200 memorabilia that belonged to "Cat King" including some of his clothes and sweat-stained scarves this Sunday. The cluster of hair is said to be collected by a person with mind in 1958 after Presley finished his hair cut. Another collector, who also keeps Prisly' hair, has already compared this new sample with his own.

Methods to Protect Eyes from Sun

The first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of sun protection is to protect skin, hardly think of protecting eyes. Actually, researches have showed that UV is among the factors that lead to the occurance of eye diseases, such as keratitis, cataracts, retinal damage. Thus, its harm to eyes is far from being neglected. As a result, we should attach more importance to the sun protection for eyes.

Do not look straightly at the sun in the hot climate. Eyes are more vulnerable. Short-time direct view to sun may result in transient giddiness. Long-term direct view to sunlight will cause pain, tears, inflammation and blurred vision and even hurt retina.

The eyes are the parts that are the most sensitive to UV, it can absorb all UV with all kinds of wavelengths, among which the ultraviolet ray of 280 mμm wave-length is the most harmful to the retina and it may cause UV gland conjunctivitis. The UV rays with the wavelength of 290-400nm are harmful to lens, which would result in cataract.

Studies have shown being every more hour under the sun will increase the risk of cataract by 10%. So then what shall we do in daily life?

Remember to make use of sun protection equipments such as hat, parasol and sunglasses when you are outsides in the sun. It should be noted that you`d better buy a pair of sunglasses of good quality. If it is a pair of inferior glasses simply covered by a colour, contrary to the function of protection from the sun, it will lead to pupil dilatation, which is a bigger harm to our eyes.

Sunglass with UV resistance is a good option in spring and summer. Medical researches have shown that sunglasses with neutral and grey lenses are the best ones. It is not good to choose sunglasses whose lenses are too dark because such sunglasses may expose your eyes to the ultraviolet ray more easily. If you are a contact lenses wearer, you can also choose contact lenses of anti-UV which are able to cut 90% ultraviolet radiation. That will be even better to put on a pair of sunglasses.

It would be good for your skin and eyes to stay in the shade as possible when the sun is strong at noon.
